Large Filter Handling
Be particularly careful when handling 6×6 filters due to their size and cost. Always use proper filter gloves and ensure they are securely seated in the trays before use.

Flag Positioning
Always utilise the flags to block unwanted light sources and prevent lens flares. Adjust them precisely for each shot to maximise contrast and image clarity, especially with large lenses.

Secure Lens Connection
When using as a clip-on, ensure the matte box is securely clipped onto the lens, with no wobble, to prevent light leaks or accidental detachment, which is critical given its size.

Donut/Bellows
For rod-mounted setups, use a proper flexible donut or bellows to seal the gap between the matte box and the lens, preventing stray light from entering and causing reflections.

Cleanliness
Keep both the matte box and your filters meticulously clean. Dust or fingerprints on filters, especially larger ones, can be more visible on the final image.
