A light, travel-friendly Fresnel for the Evoke family. The Nanlux FL-28 delivers a 17–43° zoomable beam with crisp focus, integrated barndoors and NL Mount metadata so the head auto-configures on attachment. Pair it with Evoke 1200B for punchy output (published ~50,330 lux @3m, 5600K, 17°). Compact size and 3.86 kg weight make it easy to rig, move and case.

Spot vs flood
Start at 17° for punchy pools or cutting through ambience; widen toward 43° for broader coverage and softer fall-off.
Edge tuning
Slightly over-focus, then back to sharp for the cleanest rim; barndoors are most accurate nearer the spot end.
Travel & rigging
At 3.86kg, it’s comfortable on a combo/hi-roller; use sandbags and consider a junior receiver when booming out.
Metadata benefits
With NL Mount encoding, the head “knows” the modifier—useful for quick resets and consistent photometrics across scenes.
