EcoFlow Delta 2 Max

The EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max is a 2048Wh portable power station suited to location work where mains power is limited or impractical. It delivers 2400W of continuous AC output, supports high-draw devices through X-Boost and can be expanded with additional batteries. Fast AC charging, solar input and quiet operation make it useful for lighting, charging and general on-set power.

Overview

  • 2048Wh capacity for powering lighting, monitors, charging stations and other production equipment.
  • 2400W continuous AC output with 4800W surge capability.
  • X-Boost up to 3100W for selected higher-draw appliances and equipment.
  • LFP battery chemistry rated for 3000 cycles before reaching around 80% capacity.
  • Supports up to 1000W solar input across two independent solar inputs.
  • Quiet operation, with EcoFlow quoting as low as 30dB under light load and charging conditions.
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for remote monitoring and power management through the EcoFlow app.

Use Cases

  • Location lighting and charging where access to mains power is limited.
  • Quiet power for interviews, documentary and studio-style setups where a petrol generator would be disruptive.
  • Running monitors, laptops, chargers, networking equipment and other production accessories throughout the day.

Calculate your realistic runtime first.
Divide the battery capacity by the approximate combined wattage of your equipment to get a rough starting point, then allow some margin for inverter losses and changing loads.

Use it for quiet sets.
Unlike a combustion generator, the DELTA 2 Max produces no exhaust and can operate very quietly under lighter loads, which makes it particularly useful near interviews, dialogue and sound-sensitive locations.

Treat 2400W as the normal AC limit.
X-Boost can help with certain devices above that figure, but it is not the same as having a continuous 3100W conventional AC supply. For production equipment, check the actual load rather than relying on X-Boost as your normal operating range.

Use USB-C directly where possible.
Laptops and compatible accessories can run straight from the 100W USB-C outputs, reducing the number of AC adapters and conversion stages in the setup.

Keep high-draw lighting loads in mind.
Several fixtures starting or running together can consume more power than expected. Add up the rated draw of each head, ballast and accessory before connecting the full package.

Take advantage of fast charging between setups.
The unit supports EcoFlow’s X-Stream AC charging, making it practical to top up during meal breaks or location moves when mains power becomes available.

Use solar for longer remote days.
The two solar inputs accept up to 1000W combined, which can extend runtime considerably when working away from mains power.

Keep it sheltered from weather.
The user manual specifically warns against using the unit in rain or high humidity, so it should be properly protected on exterior shoots.
