Nanlite PavoSlim 120C LED RGBWW

The Nanlite PavoSlim 120C is a lightweight 2×1 RGBWW panel combining strong output with a very slim 18.6mm profile. It offers 2700-7500K colour temperature control, green/magenta adjustment, full RGB colour and built-in effects, with CRMX, DMX/RDM and NANLINK control. Its low-profile head and remote control box make it especially useful where space and rigging flexibility matter.

Overview

  • RGBWW light engine with full-colour control alongside tunable white output.
  • Wide 2700-7500K colour temperature range with ±150 green/magenta adjustment.
  • Outputs approximately 12,830 lux at 1m at 5600K open face.
  • High colour accuracy with average CRI 96 and TLCI 97.
  • Very slim 18.6mm-deep head, useful where larger conventional panels are difficult to rig.
  • Built-in LumenRadio CRMX, plus DMX/RDM, Bluetooth, 2.4GHz and NANLINK app control.
  • 15 built-in effects including fire, TV, storm, paparazzi, welding and police-car simulations.
  • Supplied softbox, diffusion and eggcrate options make it easy to move between a broad soft source and a more controlled beam.

Use Cases

  • Interviews and documentary work where a broad, soft source needs to fit into a relatively small footprint.
  • Overhead, wall-mounted or hidden lighting positions where the thin panel is easier to rig than a conventional fixture.
  • Studio and location setups requiring colour effects, tunable white and wireless DMX control from the same unit.

Use it where depth matters.
At only 18.6mm thick, the head can be tucked close to walls, ceilings or inside set builds where a deeper LED panel would be difficult to position.

Add the softbox for interviews.
The bare panel is relatively punchy for its size, while the supplied softbox and diffusion make it much more useful as a flattering key or fill source.

Use the eggcrate to protect the background.
When working in smaller rooms, the grid helps reduce spill and keeps more light on the subject rather than washing the walls or practicals behind them.

Take advantage of green/magenta adjustment.
The +/-150 correction range is useful when matching practical sources, other LED fixtures or difficult ambient lighting without needing physical gels.

Use CRMX for larger lighting setups.
Built-in LumenRadio CRMX means the fixture can drop directly into compatible wireless DMX networks without an external receiver.

Keep the controller accessible.
The separate control unit means the head can be rigged in harder-to-reach positions while power and controls remain closer to the floor or stand.

Use RGB effects selectively.
The full-colour engine is useful for practical colour washes, background accents and effects, but for normal skin-tone work the CCT mode with green/magenta correction will usually be the more straightforward starting point.

Check output mode before matching fixtures.
If you are mixing the 120C with other RGBWW units, match both CCT and green/magenta values rather than relying on Kelvin alone.
